Mor Levin Born in Israel in 1985, Clarinetist Mor Levin is a graduate of the Buchmann- Mehta school of music in Tel-Aviv, and a graduate of the Master program at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with specialization in Clarinet and Bass- Clarinet In Israel, she has been invited to play in all the orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic orchestra. She has also ecorded various concerts to the media. In Benelux, she has been invited to play with renowned ensembles, such as the ASKO I Schoenberg ensemble, Holland Symponia and the Flemish Opera Orchestra. Since 2012, Mor is a member of the “Baltic youth philharmonic”, a young- talent orchestra with which she has been touring around Europe. She has worked with world renown conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur and Maxim Vengerov. Mor is a chamber music enthusiast, and has performed an extensive ammount of chamber pieces around Europe, USA, Canada, Israel and China. She has also performed as a soloist with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Vahagn Papian. Mor has recently finished a Master study in Clarinet and Bass-Clarinet at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she has been studying with Harmen de Boer, Arno Piters and Erik van Deuren. She previously completed a bachelor of music degree at the Buchmann- Mehta School of Music (Tel-Aviv University), where she has been studying with Yevgeny Yehudin and Richard Lesser (Israel Philharmonic orchestra). Mor has been invited to play as a guest clarinetist with the Flemish Opera Orchestra in Belgium, the ASKO Schonberg ensemble, an ensemble of “Holland Symfonia” and more. She has been selected as a member of the “Baltic Youth Philharmonic” for 2012-14. She has been the principal clarinet player of “The World Orchestra” of Juenesses Musicales in 2008-10. She has been invited to substitute in all of the orchestras and ensembles in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Camerata. She has played under the baton of conductors Zubin Mehta, Kristjan Järvi, Kurt Masur, Ed Spanjaard, Bas Wiegers, David Robertson and Maxim Vengerov. Mor has performed as a soloist with the Israel Chamber orchestra under the baton of Vahagn Papian, and with the “Thelma Yellin” orchestra under the baton of Menachem Nebenhoiz. In 2010-11 She was selected as a member of the “Gyorgy Ligeti Academy” of the ASKO Schönberg ensemble. Mor has won several competitions in Israel, including first prize at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music competition and “Turgeman” competition. She has won consecutive excellence scholarships from the America -Israel cultural foundation between 2001 2011, as well as excellence stipends from the “Lions” organization, Sweelinck fonds and more. Mor has participated in numerous master- classes and chamber-music sessions across Europe, USA, Canada, China and Israel, where she has worked with musicians such as Sabine Meyer, Yehuda Gilad, Charles Neidich, Andreas Sunden, Olli Leppaniemi and Martin Spangenberg.
